Biography

Luigi Alberganti started at Notre Dame in 2016 as the Director of Retail Dining. He was then appointed as the Director of Student Dining and now serves as the Executive Director of Campus Dining.
 
In his current capacity, Luigi is responsible for the strategy and operations of the Dining Halls, Retail Dining, Vending, and Office Services. Campus Dining also provides all dining services to St Mary's College, Holy Cross College, Guglielmino Athletics Facilities, Early Childhood Development Centers, and Religious Residences including Corby Hall, Columba Hall and Moreau Seminary.
 
Prior to joining Notre Dame, Luigi spent 16 years in Las Vegas, where he provided leadership to a variety of food and beverage portfolios, ranging from Michelin Star, Wine Spectator, and AAA Four Diamond Award winning properties to operations with high volume and 365 days of activity in the Las Vegas Strip.

Luigi graduated from the Universidad Simon Bolivar with a degree in Hotel Business Administration. He is a certified Sommelier with a specialty certification in sake obtained in Japan. He is currently the Regional Ambassador for the National Association of College and Universities Food Services.

Luigi and his wife, Desyree, reside currently in Granger.
